announced that financial advisor Anothip “Thip” Zimmerman has joined Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm’s employee advisor channel in Vienna, Virginia.
Zimmerman has joined from Wells Fargo Clearing Services, where she managed $174 million in client assets. Operating as Thip Zimmerman Wealth Advisory of Raymond James, she will align with RJA’s Chesapeake Complex, led by complex manager Warren Wright. She serves clients including a mix of business owners, executives, retirees, families and individuals.
Zimmerman brings more than 27 years of financial services experience to her role as senior vice president, wealth management. She began her career in 1994 at Prudential Securities, working across several notable groups until 1999, when she joined First Union, which later became Wachovia then Wells Fargo. Zimmerman holds a business degree from Longwood University.

, which has been buying scores of US wealth managers in recent months, has appointed Sarah M Ward to join its board of directors, effective immediately. Ward is a lawyer with more than 35 years’ experience of working in corporate finance.
Ward recently retired from global law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where she was a New York-based partner in the firm’s banking group and co-chair of its legal opinion oversight committee.
